Hey guys, as the title, does anyone have the specs for oem tyres? I need to order some before my holiday next week but not with the van to check the size.

Cheers

Is 9.5 the same as 205? Docka did you replace all of yours at once? I hope my neighbour read the tyre size correctly!

Yes replaced all of mine but the tyre shop put steers on the rear axle too, think I'll have to buy some snow chains or something to aid grip on wet campsites however I'm hoping fuel consumption should improve marginally...

9.5x17.5 are close to 235/85r17.5 in metric sizing, at 840mm in diameter, they are significantly larger than 205/75r17.5

I have 10r17.5, which rougly equals 250/90r17.5, with an outside diameter of 870mm on my 815DA.

Jostein - Did you fit the 10R17.5 as singles on the back? and if so - did you change the standard rims and what weight rating are they?

Thanks

My rear axle load are 5600 kg, I was not able to find 10r17.5 tires that can do 2800 kg or more.
My tires are the Bridgestone VSX, which are load rating 134 and can take 2120 kg.
In practice I will not exceed 4000 kg rear axle load, so I am tempted to try removing the inner tires and see how it behaves.

As you my be aware, I converted to 19.5" rims and put on 285/75s (I think) with singles on the back. The rear end was too wayward on normal road driving above 80kph.

I have noticed you issues, and that is one of the reasons why i decided to go for 10x17.5 and dual rears. On the other hand it doesnt cost much to remove the inner wheels as a test.

I'm thinking of changing my drive 205/75s for 215/75s as I need to get new tyres. Any thoughts on pros and cons?

Hardly a noticeable change in it self. Other differences between the two tires such as new versus old, different thread pattern, rubber compound etc. will probably make it hard to isolate changes caused by size difference alone. In my opinion it is a small step in the right direction though:)
