OE wheels, no spacer, 34 (true) x 11.1 tires. Cooper makes a tall 285 and I put those on and shipped back the 315s (34.5). I measured them mounted and these are just under 0.5" smaller diameter. I'll run these for a bit until going with a 285 R18, 35 (true) like justdifferentials LC200. Less bro today and I can actually turn the cover. In the distance is a F150, it has as much poke as my front end.

Haven't done much to the truck lately. I went on vacation to Patagonia, backpacked over 100 miles for much of Dec. It wasn't an 'expedition' trip to south america, we got out of the car, carried our junk for the entire trip on our backs. Great trip, the gf planned it all and kept the costs down. Sitting on this moraine in the sun, looking at Fitz Roy, was a truly unique experience. A nice finish to a year of grinding.

I also recently built a workbench to get my tools out of my smaller chest. Do it once right? The butcher block top and a few sheets of metal pegboard are due in tomorrow and I can finish it. The bench has 2" receivers to allow me to stow a vice and bench grinder, and only take them out when needed. Quite an upgrade over the old wooden one. I've been spending too much time on garagejournal...

On the truck, I cut out the holes for the lights with my miller 375 I picked up used a while back. I used a deburrer to cleanup the edges. To hold the lights in and the licence plate, I put in some rivnuts. Bumper is getting painted. I wanted to get it on today and do the electrical but held for paint to dry.

Also played with the bender setup I found on Craigs. I've bent the bedside tubes but need more time to sort out the angles for side support.

The Patagonia trip sounds epic!

Are those the HF tool chests? I have a 44 inch and love it.

Definitely a trip of a lifetime.

They are HF 44s and a side chest. A couple times a year they drop to their lowest cost and I picked them up on sale. I had been stalking them for a while. I'm pretty happy with the quality of them.

Removed the rear seat panel and built a small cabinet to hold fold up rod and other things needing to be locked when in the cab. We then made a platform to make a flat surface to mount a small drawer unit, my small dometic fridge, and the dog carrier.

I put a board down in the bed, shaped around the wells and whatnot added the various pieces. The bits are onboard water, slide out kitchen w/ wash basin, 18" partner stove, and a slide out cfx35 fridge. A few storage bins make up the rest to make it level. I didnt want it above the bedrail, but wanted it flat in the back to lay down on if needed.

I was able to talk to Phil from Vagabond at the NWOR. Phil was super helpful talking through the design features and how he's rolled in his experiance over the years. I got in line on the vagabond after the rally. A pic from the rally.

How are you liking the Solo long travel? Is the extra track width noticeable on trails?

Definitely wider track than I am used to in my 4runner, and I haven't taken the truck out on anything other than FS roads. While I have had the truck for a while, I havent gotten much use of it. I plan on keeping something else to use on trails and my 4runner sees more action.
