Good deal. I look forward to it. I may purchase the same one if it looks and functions how I hope. I am in the process of getting everything together to make me a bed mounted setup similar to yours.

I finished mounting it up last night and will post some picts shortly.

Here are some setup. I spent some time this morning bending an offset to the spring rods on the annex side and then moved the tent back as close as I could get it to the annex and still get rods in and the cover on comfortably.

I noticed what skygear mentioned (in another thread) in that the awning fabric wants to creep down the track making it off centered. I put a short piece of pvc pipe in the strap that is supposed to keep the fabric in place. We'll see how this works.

A few more shots of welding the front bracket on, cutting holes in the bag, and flipping one of the bushings.

Very nice!

I believe I'm going to pull the trigger on this. Thank you for all the pics and install information. It looks top shelf.

Nice RTT, I've been trying to find one on the net, but it looks like the Rams are left out.. How did you mount the hi lift and shovel to the bedside? When the rack is empty how easy is it to remove? I also have a gooseneck (B&W) that I need to use frequently. Really nice setup.

Hello Scout man, did you build the rack entirely of .120" wall tubing ?
We are about to start our rack but was going to use .065" but now think this is to thin.

Sorry I'm just now seeing this question, the forum didn't notify me for some reason.

All of the bent hoops are out of .120 because that is what my bender die is for and what I had on hand. The straight sections used for spreaders are out of .083 to save a little weight and also on hand.

If you were going to use .063 then I would definitely beef up the joints with some gussets and braces. I'm not used to working with the thin stuff.

One year since I put this project to use last fall and I still love it. I've hauled it daily with no issues. There have only been a few times when I wasn't able to haul something in my bed due to the rack and I just worked around it. It is still as rock solid as the day I put it on and so far I've had NO rattles or signs of movement at all.

I'm now getting ready to add some lighting. I have one of the National Luna touch waterproof LED strips (amber/white) on order to arrive this week so we'll see how that works before I buy more.

I absolutely LOVE this awning! It is super easy and quick to deploy and it gets used from everything from kids soccer games, road side lunch stops, and weekend camping adventures. The only issue I had with the original awning was with the storage bag. It seems that the original design had a seam running down the middle of the top of the bag and that would allow water to seep into the bag and keep the awning wet. After some correspondence with Rin at OK4WD, we figured out the issue and he sent me one of the new design bags at no cost. Not a drop inside since then.

I'll see what picts I have and get some posted soon.

Scoutman I love your set up. Cool truck. Can you tell me where you got your awning from and what you payed for it? Perhaps post a link to a suplyer? Thanks, cheers, Chilli..:)
