ARB Awning

I like mine as well. It is well made, but I wish it has the aluminum enclosure like the ARB awnings the OZ's get.

I like almost anything ARB puts out. they just don't rush to production. They test and redesign until it's fit to sell to people who actually use their products, and not just slap them on a "mall crawler".

The awning is one of my next purchases, I'm in the process of modifying my roof rack to accept the ARB. If you don't mind, what's the center to center of the mounting holes? I know it's adjustable, but I'm curious what width you went... And are there one or two bolts per mount?

This are the brackets that i used for my Camping Lab Awning!

Same brackets, they worked out good.

However I will explore in the future how to mount the awning closer to the rack.
I may be switching over to an ARB fitkit though for my crossbars to fit onto.
I do not like how high the tent sits on the stock FJ Cruisers rack.
I have seen a few mounted right to the fitkit, and they sit much lower affecting the ride a lot less at highway speeds.

Traded our Fiamma for the ARB. Wanted a larger awning. Went from 6 foot to 8 foot. We will keep our Fiamma on the Horizon. Should make a good combo. Anyways, we're lucky to have a full length INTI rack.. the awning fits perfect and doesn't hang off a mile like most rigs i've seen.

Which Fiamma did you have before? The CARAVANSTORE? http://www.fiammausa.com/products/awnings.asp?Fam=P05

Would you prefer the ARB over the Fiamma? What is the difference?

Thanks!
