Awesome to find another Short Bus owner on here! Ran into your link from Skoolies. Looks like we are headed in the same general direction!

Very nice start! I am researching EGR deletes for my 6.4, interesting to see the 6.0 guys are just capping the coolers now. I have seen a couple kits like that for the 6.4, its a block off plate that bolts on with the cooler still in place. Coolant still flows though but no exhaust gasses.

Ha nice! I actually once met one of the fleet guys at First Student in Portland who told me when they had the 6.0 in the buses, they had very little issues, but he admits the drivers babied them so thats why. Meanwhile the guys I know at AMR were telling me when they had 6.0s, they planned for yearly headgasket and head bolt replacements...

Camp bed build

Still at it on the Short Bus. Finally got a place to sleep. Welded up a steel frame that bolts to the wall track, and straddles some Costco folding-top storage totes. The frame has 3ea removable supports connected by 5/8" pins; when the bed is folded these disconnect, nest together and get stowed. Mattress is a 5" memory foam Full XL (53" W x 79" ) narrowed by 6" to 47". This sits on 3/4" MDO (paper faced, both sides) plywood, 80" x 52". 3ea sections are connected by 6ft aluminum piano hinge. When folded, the top forms a flat shelf and protrudes from the wall about 22". Mattress and hinges both from Amazon.

Installed some Kenda mud terrains in 265/75R16. Have rear spacers to go between dually wheels, not installed yet so inners are still 235's. Also built part of the rear deck.

Looking good! I just saw your other post about your bed mechanism, came over here to say I really like the way your color turned out.
