This is of test of prototype Long Range Patrol Vehicles in the Simpson Desert and at Klondyke range complex in western NSW.
Vehicles are able to be built as civilian variants for mining or farming applications.

So, if you wanted to register one of these in, say, California, would you have to remove the .50 cal first?

And, will they build these (IF they build these) with left hand drive?

It's remarkable the amount of money that is spent on a new 4WD to turn it into something very different. 6WD conversions, chassis extensions and dual cab chops are becoming much more popular in Australia. I reckon theirs a market for something in between!
