Simple how-to register car/truck and travel Europe

Let’s go already!
We are living in Germany and of course have been doing trips. Our cars are regisered in Germany through our work arrangement.

One of the things we have a plan for is what happens if my work contract ends. We will need to get normal German registrations. Did some research and found this:

It IS possible to get up to 365 days of plates and insurance. One can follow the steps, or pay a company to do it for you. The companies charge a lot.

Keep in mind this does not ensure tourist aspects of Schengen are met. This just makes your vehicle legal. How you plan trip from there in Schengen vs. non-Schengen is also key.
