Ronny Dahl's Trips

I'd like to know the solid engineering design behind the narrowed rear track though. As in why Toyota does that?

There isn't a solid engineering reason. They had to widen the front track to fit the V8 in, and then didn't bother making the rear diff any wider. Nissan did the same with the Y61 (GU) Patrol rear leaf-sprung utes - they share the same axle as the (slightly) narrower Y60 (GQ). Spacers (or different offset rims front/rear) are needed to resolve this...

That's interesting...

I wonder what frame the 79 shares with other Toyotas if any?

Because the 100 doesn't have this and neither does the 80, I do realize engines can be diffferent but the 105 would have the I6 TD.

I mean hey if it's easily corrected with rims that's a good thing.

Save the factory wheels from damage and but them in the garage or resell them for some funds.

I have not heard of this model before, but I have seen Donny and crew using them in the videos.

Great cooking ideas! Still I ask these guys put there trucks in some pretty gnarly situations..... have you also and used all this kit that you carry, now that would be interesting to see and hear about a gear review, recovery kit and such.

So Corey, how much of a kick back is Ronny throwing your way for pimping all his videos?

Just messin w/ya, LOL

Its been well over 100* every day this week when I get home from work. I've been watching his vids every night.

Wouldn't have given them a second glance w/o your "pimping".... Great stuff!

YMMV RON

I think Corey is one of the reasons Ronny's YT subscribers topped 100k and helped him decide to quit his day job. It's all good.
