Need to find some better fasteners than the oem grey clips. Just looks like ****.

Then i made a dump pipe for the grey water tank. It`s almost full now and there wasn`t a way to empty it. So i cut a hole throught the floor:

Started work on the overhead cabinets:

Also on the indirect lighting. Of course the right soldering iron was in the other shop. But got the job done :

its looking great, love this build and admit the skills. we are just starting our Sprinter 516 4x4 conversion. Quick question about your diff, what was wrong with it/why did you get it rebuilt? And who did it for you?

4x4 sprinters are super rare in the UK, not found anyone who would touch the transfer box or diff on these yet.

There was a bad bearing race that spun on a shaft. So i had the bearing and shaft replaced.

Those are not just differentials, it`s way more complicated. I was about doing it myself but when i had the differential removed and had a look how complicated this thing is i decided not to touch it. I had it repaired by a german company called Getriebe Jürries.

No idea how it sounded. I bought it with the broken diff and had it towed to my shop cause i didn`t want to take any risk of causing even more damage.

Now it`s nice and quiet. There are some harmonics in the drivetrain starting at about 115km/h but i guess that`s normal for a 4x4.

Not sure about that. Whining is never a good thing. :Wow1:

Finished the overhead cabinets and the last few wooden bits and pieces:

So jealous. Looks really great. MB finally brought the 4x4 Sprinter to the US market last year, but they are rare and fairly expensive.

So i moved the tachograph to the left:
