Which model fridge is it? I belive the factory crimped off line is where they fill from. Shouldn't be hard to fix that, just get it evacuated.

Looking great!

It`s a Waeco CD30. I figured that out too, should be able to fix it pretty easy.

Built the spare tire carrier today:

Of course there was not a single pice of tubing the right size in my 15tons of steel. So i had to turn some down:

Had to weld the plate to a fixture to turn the flange out of:

Mocked it up:

Tacked on some flatbar that will be boltet to the door:

Welded everthing in:

Drilled the bolt pattern:

Welded it in:

Mounted the carrier:

And the wheel in:

Now i want to build a ladder on that side to, but not sure how.

Yep, that's what I would have done (if I had the knowledge, the machines, the material, and the guts...). Stein, you get more done in a day then I get done in, er, ever!

A bit concerned about your tire carrier, however; can that rear door open with the tire carrier bolted to it? You have the 270 degree hinges, and I just don't see how that's gonna open now.

But, clearly you are smarter than me on this stuff.

Thanks java, that's an awesome idea. :victory:

The door will open, but only 180degrees and not 270, which doesn't matter cause the tire would hit the sidewall either ways.

Went to the scales today cause i needed a dry weight for my new registration as a rv.

Really happy with the weight.

Got all the desired paperwork:

Also got the net spare tire and rim:

Then we started building the next cabinet:

Did also some more insulation:

Tried my new chains today:

They`re a little bit too loose for my liking so i think i`ll shorten the inner ring. Not sure how to do that yet, but i got time until next season..

Then i mounted the freshly painted spare tirre carrier with the brand new spare:

Made some more cabinet doors:

And got some work done on the wardrobe:

Also put down a coat of paint:

By the way, what 4wd drivetrain do you have? Oberaigner? Iglhaut? Something else?

It kills me like you wouldn't believe that we can't get any of that in US...:mad::mad:

OK, the curiosity got me... What are the brackets for? Hanging rock climbing ropes and gear?

I`m going to weld some carabiners to the brackets ,so it`ll look like a climbing route and serve as a wardrobe:

It`s pretty stout too, so i can hang stuff like backpacks on it also.

It`s the factory 4WD option. 2WD standart, push-button 4WD and also a rear locker.
