Warn has now introduced our line of Ascent Front and Rear bumpers for the 2016-2017 Toyota Tacoma.

The front bumper will accommodate WARN winches up to 12,000 lb. capacities, including the ZEON and ZEON Platinum. They have four ports for lights (sold separately), welded eyelets for shackles, and are compatible with vehicle sensor systems. The angled design sits high to maintain maximum ground clearance and approach angle, and the 11-gauge steel construction with black powdercoated finish will withstand all sorts of harsh conditions.

The rear bumpers are also made from 11-gauge steel and wear a black powdercoating. They have ports for lights (sold separately), corner steps for easy bed access, and will accommodate back-up sensors.

Both fronts and rears are designed to accommodate oversized tires, provide maximum off-road performance/clearance, and are easy to install. You can learn more at https://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-systems/mount_systems.jsp.

Not really a fan of either. They look too big for the truck. The front bumper gives the truck a fat lip (which it kind of already has with the stock bumper).

No worries; we're all entitled to our opinion.

One thing to note about the front bumper is that it's configured so you have easy access to the winch during the recovery process, hence one reason for its design.

I didn't notice Warn was the OP when I posted- but I'll still always use your winches!

You guys should design for the second generation Xterra/Frontier crew. They'd go giddy for your products. If you could match/beat price points, there's currently only about 3 major companies for them to get bumpers from. Mine is Shrockworks:

Yes, that's an M8000 :)

That's the other thing. Noone but Shrock will rate their hitch bumpers for us Nissan owners. Sucks, I need a good tow bumper with departure angle!

No dog in this fight and not trying to sound critical since I have am '05, but I'm curious why the rear bumper has that angled edge just above the light inserts? I think it makes more sense to have a larger flat surface on the top of the bumper that you can stand on vs. steps on the corner. It also seems like it would be easier to slip off of when it's wet. That's my biggest compaint about most of the aftermarket bumpers and why I still have my dented factory bumper as cheap as it is. I always seem to end up needing to stand on it either to attach the tarp to the roof rack, put straps on the kayaks, secure some other load, etc. That and it needs some shackle brackets.

I kinda like the front, it's different and sort of a throwback to earlier Warn winch bumpers. I like that it allows better winch access and mounting the new high end winches. Operating the XD9000 clutch lever in my ARB is a PITA with big hands and impossible with gloves on. I keep saying I'm going to take a saw to the opening and make it a little larger.

You know in the 80's when trucks were square Warn numbers were rounded. Now trucks are rounded and you build the squares bumpers imaginable.

Given Warn's deep pockets and manufacturing capability I would think you guys could design something a great deal more inspired than another copy what is currently available from dozens of other builders. Why not get something hydroformed so that it blends with the curves of the truck?

I really dig the look of the older Warn bumper for 3rd gen Pickups. Just a classic, simple utility look.

I wish they made something similar to it for 2nd Tacoma.

Question for Warn: the press release says it's compatible with sensors (rear bumper). Does this include the blind spot monitors, or just the backup (parking) sensors? And by "compatible" does this mean that one just snaps the OEM sensors into the new bumper and it functions just like OEM? Thanks.

clearly you decreased approach and departure angles, adding those bumpers should help not do the opposite.

I am told it IS compatible with the blind spot system. And yes, the snap into plac3e on the bumper like OEM.
