silicone tape a must- have for off road first aid

silicone tape
self amalgamating tape. available at walmart
or in larger rolls at wholesale electricians supply.

if you dont have it -get it
if you have some, u understand why u need it.

example is i have a 91 e250 van with a ruptured fuel line from someone (not me , promise) letting it get too close to exhaust manifold.
line is obsolete from ford
solution? silicone tape. been on there 5 years with not one leak.

everything from cuts to broken mirror mounts. this is the shizzle.
keep it in a zplock cause dust will keep it from working as it should.
be aware of which side sticks to which

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Silicone tape will fix a blown radiator hose for those that are unfamiliar.

I really prefer the self fusing (or amalgamating) tape for electrical repairs. Coat the junction with some silicone dielectric grease and encase in the fusing tape, it will be both better than new, and it never turns into that sticky nasty mess that electrical tape does. The only downside is it only sticks to itself, so you have to be a bit crafty using it for other stuff.

I keep rolls of it in each vehicle, plus all my tool sets, and in the medicine cabinet

When I saw first aid, I thought you were going to say you wrapped it around an arm or leg with a huge gushing wound.

I did. My daughter cut her finger quite deeply, and bandaids wouldn't stick due to all the blood. So my roll of Super Tape was quite helpful!
