Roaming Rally 2017

Dates have been set for the 2017 Roaming Rally. We're quite excited about the new format for 2017...more details to come before the end of the year. Registration will begin in January. We've been asked by a few folks for the dates so vacation time can be booked.

Bikes May 25 - May 28
Trucks May 27 - June 3rd

The rally will be hosted in Eastern Ontario, Canada.

Stay tuned....

Awesome! Any truck modifications you'd consider required to join the trip, and will the route be accepting of joining the rally for only a few days and breaking off to head home? (already booked up for 3 trips this year and running out of vacation days)

Edit: just saw your site, that trucks will be out of base camp with 1-2 day routes, so that answers my second question :wings:

Hi everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. We're just finishing up with some last minute logistics. By mid January we'll have all the details to share and will begin registration.

As mentioned, the rally will be based out of a primitive camp location (outhouses, no electricity, no water). Routes will be one and two day routes and 2 half day routes. Most are mild with a couple of very technical routes for folks with built up vehicles who want to challenge themselves. There is always the option to just hang out as basecamp and enjoy the wilderness.

Trucks are recommend to not travel the routes solo (safety in numbers).

Trucks must have recovery gear, full size spare, recovery points, first aid kits, AT or MT tires and be prepared to spend a night in the wild in case of an incident.

There will be more routes than days; meaning no one will finish all of the routes.

Motorbikes will share one night at basecamp with the trucks. Routes are not shared between bikes and trucks.

Hope to meet some expo members. The rally has always been as much about meeting like minded folks as it has been about exploring the backcountry :smiley_drive:

Some cool rigs signed up. Mild or wild, your choice of routes to pick from or just spend your time at basecamp chilling out. It would be cool to see some expo members in the rally. Meeting new folks and sitting around a fire in the evening is what the rally is all about.

Hope to see you in May

damn. I should've paid more attention to this part of the forum. How did the event go?

It was awesome! Quite a few adventures for all and especially for one Land Rover in particular ;)

Great group of people gathering at this :)

Tons of pictures on the Facebook page and on a few of our instagrams to check out
