Clear Kerosene will definitely burn cleaner than diesel, as it does not have the lubricity additives and such that other pump fuels contain for internal combustion use.

Additionally, I believe that kerosene has a few more BTU per gallon than does diesel.

It depends a bit upon the diesel blend.

But diesel has a higher BTU per volume than kero.

Last I checked it was roughly 140k BTU per gallon (diesel vs 135k BTU per gallon (kero)

Not so worried about btus/gal, just cleaner burning. I'd like to fill with kero or jet A when heading for altitude.

Anyone have any other ideas on gad tanks or places to stash them?

Cleaned the garage last night. I now have about about 6'x15' of usable space. Soon to be cabinet shop.... Also found out the cabover is still leaking.... Ugh. We got more than an inch of rain yesterday, once it drys out a bit Ill have to caulk it from the outside.

Knocked out the bed frame. Its dimensions kinda drive everything.

I love these splices. Crimp on, self adhesive shrink wrapped. Good stuff.

I had to hook them up to see if it was going to be enough light. I was worried it wouldn't be as they are quite small. Its a good amount of light!

Started framing up the rear storage/wall. Its 1" .072 steel, this give me a 1" area I can insulate, and gives me some structure to support the bath wall from.

In place. This will be the exterior storage.

Bathroom wall and bed frame just about done. Cutting stupid angles wiht a skill saw sucks.

18" clear under the bed frame for storage. The plan is to have it lift up for access from inside.

Keep up the awesome work! I'm still chin scratching and searching for my V1 ski bum rig! Skiing was amazing (epic actually) here in VT last week....As for the heater fuel tank.....10 gallons seems like a lot! If you need that much yeah for sure - but consider a smaller more portable tank that would be easier to fill and clean if needed? Just a thought! Maybe a way to take fuel from the main tank/OR the smaller tank....

Good to hear your getting some snow on the ice coast!

Yeah I have been thinking a three or six gallon tank that is removable.

Here is the panel, this will insulate the inside from the outside when the passenger rear door is opened.

Looking good Java! I don't know if I missed it at all, but do you plan to wrap the outside or leave as is? Also, you are using spray foam insulation or a combination of both?

Eventually we would like to do a different wrap. But they are big $$, so it will stay as is for awhile.

The inside was all sprayed on polyiso foam. I will use polyiso sheets under the floor eventually as well.
