Depends on the amount of protrusion into the wheel well. If it is an acceptable amount then it should be fine. You may want to fab up a skid plate or splash guard to help protect it. I could see where a tire may blow and you would have chunks slapping into the side connections on the tank.

No side connections, and I dont know if I have room for a skid.... Id like one though.

Its flush at the top, ~1-1.5" in the middle and ~2-2.5" at the bottom. (If my head is remembering right, there was a lot of staring at tape measures last night)

Hmm this may make it a non issue! Remote fill for ASME tanks.

Can't tuck it behind the portside tail lights with a nifty access hatch like the black tank?

Heater fuel tank is going there. Might be enough room for both, but im also planning to bob the rear end at some point also.

I like the first propane tank option, but would want to at least bedline the heck out of the exposed end. Then no skid needed. Or bedline, then mold soft aluminum to the same area to repel and be able to keep cleaner.

I'm thinking turn the tank sideways there, with a skid and use the remote fill inside the the storage box.

Another weekend in the books. Just a campground this weekend.

Spent some time on Sat getting the poop tank done. Made a custom "long elbow" for the vent.

Runs up the back corner and out the wall.

Added a cleanout for easy tank rinsing.

And the clamshell vent over the outlet.

Getting out of the driveway was interesting. Ugh. I need some gravel.

Pickup up the propane tank. Its big. Bigger than I planned. Its 11.9 gallons or 50lbs, and its half full and really heavy to wrestle under the truck, then to to bench press onto the jack...

But it fits, sideways, barely.

Tight on the spring hanger. A little trimming of the gaurd thing and it will slip up a little higher, should have ~1/2" clearance min.

Took some pics of the frame extension while I was down there. Its welded in, then a doubler is bolted across it.

My lighting showed up, they don't match... oh well. Mount is taller, covers are different, colors don't match.

So I started on a light bar. Bend attempt #1, fail.

Attempt #2, works. Floor jack, two pieces of 2x material, one big *** trailer hitch. Kinked the tube a little but it worked and its a light bar, who cares.

Nice updates. Glad the tank will work.

The lights and seller are strange like that. Mine were missing a little bit of hardware and had a scratch on one housing. I complained to the seller, they fully refunded me and said "keep the lights". A week or so later 2 additional lights showed up. All 4 on the truck now; all free :) I had mentioned that I am part of a large expedition/overland/offroad group, maybe they were building business.

Light bar should be nice.

Ward and Annie's rig is awesome.

My lights installed, with diffused covers on the bumper lights. I just got amber ARB covers for the bumper lights, but they will not easily fit. Deciding on those still.
