Snow Chains... what are you using?

Only time you should chain the rears on a 4x4 is if you are towing, or have chains for all 4 corners.
Yep. But on many IFS trucks, the 2nd gen Tacomas included, they CAN'T be used on the front. Not even class S cables will fit

Actually, it is hit or miss with the front of the gen 2 tacoma. Some can run chains, and some can't. It depends on a number of factors. Mine can run chains....but yes, I understand your point

All the more reason to stick to a stone simple solid axle full size I suppose.

Never have I owned a truck that cannot run chains. That just seems silly.

Because when you need chains, you NEED chains. Running chains should be a last resort option.

I agree Kenny. I made choices about tire size, wheels and other things to make sure chains were always an option. It's hard to imagine a "truck" that cannot run chains. 34 years in the PNW will do that to you :ylsmoke:
