lotsa complaining that the 85 amp don't have the muscle for add-ons.
solution:
a 5.9 dodge cummins or gas alternator. the denso model.
its mostly bolt on
i am guessing a bit here as i deleted my clutch fan, in the original motor i am guessing its bolt on.
on a fan delete its bolt on with a bit of rigging to create tension.
use the transpo part # : in8315 internal regulator.
careful when routing the wires to not pinch them with the rear dust cover.green goes to field orange to 12v switched source / field post.
bang! no more low amperage..
about 30 minutes work unless like me you contemplate every move then its three hours.
