I've been a big fan for the last 10 years of the ford 7.3 zf6 combo so a couple years ago I purchased a 2nd truck to set up as my stealth camper/hauler. I ripped out the ratty work truck seats and put in two buckets and made a bed in the back seat. I'm 6'-1" so I needed a little more room so the back windows no longer roll down. I boxed out both rear doors but just my feet go into one of the doors and I sleep very comfy on the 6" foam bed.
I managed to score the cap off craigslist for $300 and I usually bring two mountain bikes and a moto along with tools and spares. Really like how everything is locked inside out of sight. One of the cap doors is set up as a kitchen and the other allows access to the toy area.
So far I'm really stoked on the set up. Just planning on tweaking things and switching a lot of the construction material over to metal as I get better with my newly acquired welder.
Suspension is stock leafs with new bilstein 5100 shocks. I trimmed a good bit off the front bumper and I rubbed a little on the leafs at full lock. I also pulled back the inner fender wells. Engine wise I have a basic programmer to get a bit more juice with a straight pipe.
