Beating a dead horse, but.... Hiking boots?

Still enjoying a pair of LaSportiva Glaciers. Made in Italy by an old-time boot company (which means that they're also great to wear when you go out for pizza).
Those were likely made in Romania. As my buddy at La Sportiva says, same machines, same materials, but the people in the factory are not as fancy. :)

If you like those, you would probably like the new La Sportiva Nucleo. Compared to the Glaciers they're like slippers. I just put 50 trekking miles in Peru on the Nucleo. Plucked them right out of the box and put them in my bag.

Mine say "Made In Italy," but who knows. Besides, being Italians, they may not be sure where they actually are.
