^Yup. Where I live/work is 99.5% coverage. I'll just stop my work truck, put on my shades and watch. :-)...all while being paid.

Thanks for the offer. Alas, no CB, not yet. I'm in McCall now and plan to drive down to Midvale, leaving @0430. I hope there's no traffic.

That was nice. Now it's time to plan for April 8, 2024, the date of the next total eclipse for USA. The path of totality will start in central Mexico, and travel northeast across Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, the Ohio River valley, New York and northern New England before exiting through Quebec.

it was very cool to see it in glendo, wy. we were isolated from the crowds on the north east side of the lake. Had a 4.5 telescope, camera with filter and out glasses. took us about 4.5 hrs to get home on back roads, some friends took 12 hrs on i25. WyDOT estimates there were over 1 million extra people in the state on monday.

Well, it truly was one for the ages.

I have hundreds of pics and clips to process. Here's a preview:

Our perch high on an "island" on the west side if Hell's Half Acre Canyon was simply other-worldly. And just about smack dab on the centerline.

We drove up to the SNRA out of Twin and dispersed camped just south of Redfish. It was truly an awesome experience. As an amateur astronomer who's lazy, this was my first easy chance to see totality. Telescope is a Televue Pronto with a solar filter.
