My FJ60

Great looking Ride. I have a 1986 FJ60 and it is getting burred with me.

They are awesome, as other pointed out TONS of parts out there for these. Just something to note, lots of the old school cruiser shops prefer you call in your order.
If you are looking form something specific.

http://www.marksoffroad.net/index2.html <-- had a shop fire, but I think he is back up and running
https://www.cityracerllc.com/ <- has the hard to find stuff to.

I have yet to not be able to find a part. for the Wheel wells Trail-Tailor has the parts. they are expensive but fit perfectly. I am using them on mine and they work great.
He also has a carpet kit that looks fantastic.

The are slower than most vehicles, MPG is comparable to a full size F150 (at least mine), they have a carburetor (talk to Onur about why EFI on these gain nothing) they can be repaired with duct tape, bailing wire and chewing gum.

They were built to last and outlast most modern vehicles. There are no computers to mess things up. They will still run even if the carb is held on with one bolt and flopping around (do not ask). it will run, not well but run.
They are as basic as they come. Get a good set of Metric wrenches and some screw drivers and go to town.

you made a solid purchase, now enjoy it.

Congratulations on your FJ-60. MUD is a great resource and I have had the best luck finding parts at OReilly's.

Cool Cruisers of Texas, Cruiser Corps are other good resources. I've had my FJ-60 for 19 years now so be prepared for a long tern relationship.

Nice, so how is this thing going for you now? I was scoping it out on CL but never went to check it out. . .kinda regret it.

I've done a little maintenance

Had to do a water pump and power steering pump, now need to fix a TC leak

I don't regret buying it. I've moved to northern Illinois now so everything I own will become rusty. Buying rust-free would have limited value

It will be my FJ60 until it dies (which it will- this one won't last forever)

Then I'll go from there!

There's a nice looking 62 in the area for $9000 that is probablI more bang for your buck.
