06 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Build

Just another subaru build thread, that's okay because I hope it inspires some people and I can get some help with the brainstorming ha. Anyways bought my girlfriend an obsidian black pearl 2006 impreza 2.5i sedan with a 5 speed. When we picked it up it was lowered an 1.5" and running some 18x8 white wheels, some rally armor mud flaps, multi color changing interior lights and a really cheap/ crappy axle back muffler install. 80,000 miles on the OD but the motor just had a new shirt block in it like 8,000 miles ago (the kid we bought it from ran it out of oil and fried the motor).
So this is where things started ha.

Okay well I started this process of going the offroad route about a year ago now. With her getting tired of scraping on everything and going sideways over speed bumps and what not, I started by just putting stock suspension on. Shortly after that I put on a roof basket and that's when we set in stone of the off road path.

Since then, I've done a lot of digging, research and mainly shadowing around on forums and Facebook. I then purchased new forester xt suspension, in which we spray painted the coils gold ha. I also got in touch with Patrick Anderson and purchased a 1" top hat and trailing arm spacer from him.

Also during this time I purchased a Rally Innovation ultimate rally bar and four Aurora 5 watt led cubes to go on that bar. I snatched up an Aurora 40 inch 10 watt single row led light bar that I installed under the roof basket to give a flush mounting look.

I'm not usually a fan of the white wheels, but it does appear to have been pretty well taken care of, good place to start!

The only issues we have with the car is that it has a clunk in the front end somewhere when hitting bumps that I can not find the source of since we got the got and the there is a groove worn into the input shaft so the throw out bearing snags on it and squeaks like no bodies business (I tried putting a new throw out bearing on to no avail O well). Anyways the next thing we did to the car was put the stock suspension back on and put the black wheels from her last 2.5i Impreza that we got hit in a head on with.

Shortly after that we took the roof rack from my wrx and put that on along with a basket. We also installed a Rally Innovation Ultimate Rally Bar and My girlfriend made up some custom gold painted mudflaps just so she could have something different.

We took a break at this point for awhile and took a day cruise with some of the people in our car club.

Next up, I finally purchased the 1" ADF top hat and trailing arm spacer along with new 06 fxt suspension. At this point I had picked up the Aurora light bars for the basket and the rally bar. When I first installed the lift the Method wheels we chose to use were on back order so we had to wait about a month before they had a full set of wheels for us. O we finally got her 3 grill pieces back in the car, had to a fair bit of trimming to get them to fit around the rally bars and since we had them out and what not my girlfriend painted the trimming gold too ha.

I can't remember what the tire size is off the top of my head right now since it's like 1 am and I'm getting ready for work so I will find that out tomorrow and let you guys know ha.

I also found some more of the pictures of when I was intalling the Rally Innovation Rally bar and lights.

This is what I did to be able to run the front 40" light bar and the 2 side 6" light bars on the basket on the roof, I couldn't find any other good way to do it without the wiring getting in the way so I F### it and made sure it was okay with my lady if I put a hole in the roof and went for it ha.
