Quick release door tops

In reply to a post on another thread that is not linked to Land Rovers, here are some pics of my quick release door tops for my ex-military 110. The long bolts that usually hold the door top in place are cut down and now function more as guides. The window is held in place by a fairly heavy duty over-centre fastener. There needs to be a solid tension on it to keep the door top from flapping in the wind, but mine will only do that over 60 mph. But meas I can pop the door tops off and on in a matter of seconds. The unrelated canvas pad is placed there as that is exactly where my knee rests on the door...which gets sore on a long haul without the padding.

Excellent! As I have new door tops I will try this out with the old ones. see if they hold the doortop on good enough. If so I'll do this to the new ones too. Very handy indeed!
