Anyone have a Trail Kitchens Compact?

Hey guys, Hans here from Trail Kitchens. Wanted to quickly give you a little update in case you're still interested. We've had a really great summer and received a ton of feedback which we're using to make our products more affordable and more convenient than ever.

First, we created a bunch of videos demonstrating how our products work. Next we created some new chuck box style products that have no legs and come in at half the price of the full camp kitchens. On the other end of the spectrum, we engineered an overlanding masterpiece by combining a kitchen sink with a camp kitchen and stuffed it all into an all-in-one unit that fits into the back of Jeeps and other SUVs. Finally, we brought on a ton of new dealers around the country, so if you live near one, you can check out our products in person.

A sincere thank you to all of you for your interest and your input earlier this year. We really value forums like Expedition Portal for that exact reason. Please let us know if you ever have questions of if there's anything we can do for you in the future. Cheers!

I have the King Charles chuckbox Han's linked to above, and it is very nice.
I have not used it yet, as I bought it after my vacation this summer.
I am getting too old to heft around the new big wood one that Pat built for me late summer of 2010.

The new one holds just about as much as the wood one, except for my Camp Chef Denali stove.
I am carrying it separately in a Blue Ridge Overland zippered bag, this way I can hold more inside of the Trail Kitchens unit.

The King Charles is very light in comparison to the wood one which probably topped out at over 80 lb with the stove and other stuff inside of it.

Me too, I'm getting tired of hauling around my big blue wood chuck box. mine probably weighs 50lbs loaded. I think my 22" two burner Partner Steel stove should fit in a Trail Kitchen unit. I'm gonna need a wind screen too for my stove sitting on top of the TK. The Trail Kitchen looks good, I'm ready for an upgrade. I like the chuck box or Trail Kitchen style of cooking.
