I don't post here much, as I mostly lurk in the trailer building forum because I am working one of those right now. But sadly it is time to sell my CJ and I'd rather it go to a member of one of the forums I am on than to a Craigslist flipper. So, this is my 5th Jeep and my second CJ, and by far my favorite of them all. I bought this one to keep forever and have been working on making it a safe DD and family hauler. For the past few months I have been using the CJ as my DD and sorting out smaller issues as I drove it. The problem is with 4 butts and now a 100lb lab all of us do not fit in the Jeep for extended trips. The previous owner put a boat load of money and work into this old CJ, the had the head swapped for a 4.0 one, they added fuel injection, and even had the camshafts redone. It will cruise all day on the interstate without issue. I've taken it on (3) 500+ mile trips since December with no issues. The last thing I had planned to do, and was only waiting until this summer to take the doors and top off, was install a new wiring harness. The 3 previous owners has left something to be desired in the wiring category, and I've slowly tried to clean it up, but wiring isn't my strong suite. Don't get me wrong, everything still works, but for example the fuel injection hums and I think a new harness may sort that out. Plus it had a bunch of aftermarket off road lights up front, and I removed them and the wiring because it was just hodge-podged in there. The Jeep lived most of it's life in California and I can't find any rust. It does not leak any fluid. I'm happy to answer any questions so feel free to ask.
