Guidon not only did the fiberglass, they also assembled the entire thing. My Brother worked for them and did field adjustments.
If you really are interested in a rear screen, I think I may have a spare. Let me know.
.

Any replacement tents for a 6'?
lol

My brother bought a few for me when they had a auction to get rid of the spares they had after Wildernest moved everything to Colorado then went out of business. Unfortunately, I have sold all I had but two. I have one new one on my Wildernest that I installed when I refurbished everything on it last year and the old one that was replaced. I will be keeping the old one as a back up in case I need it. Other than having a little mildew inside as they typically get, it is great condition.

Just for your information, the 6 and 7 ft Wildernest for the small trucks had the same size tent.

here is mine. funny thing is i have kept it for various reasons, but since i have a four wheel camper im just using it as a heavy PITA to instaall topper. i only put it on my work truck in winter these days. should probably just trade it for a light weight topper-ha.

Which size Wildernest is this? I have one that came off a 2nd gen Tacoma, I'm about to buy a 1st gen Tundra and would LOVE to keep the 'nest if it'll fit- this one looks damn near perfect.

this one has always been on a 1st gen tundra, i bought it from a buddy with one. before that it was just full size 6.5" bed truck (since its made BEFORE 1st gen tundras even existed). i dont think the tacoma wildernest will fit your tundra at all, not that i see. let me know--i could be persuaded to let this one go.

do any of you actual owners of these things have any concrete info on exact sizes wildernests were offered in? i've seen some things here and there but havent been able to come up with confirmed dimensions. i've seen 6 foot and 8 foot length, nothing else. it seems like those of us with 6.5 beds (T100 and 1st gen tundras) are out of luck for the wildernest.
There were several models available and WilderNest recommended a model based on your truck. The regular length 6' Toyota bed took the Model 76. This was also used on the S10, LUV, Dodge Ram D50 Short, Ranger, Courier, Jeep Comanche, Datsun Isuzu Short, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc.

The long bed mini truck took for the most part the model 91 (e.g. 7', typically about 90 inches to 93 inches in length). The Toyota long beds took a model 87

The Dodge Dakota took a model 80D (short box) or 99D (long box) and this is the one that fits best on 2nd gen Tacoma, T100. The given bed dimensions of the 80D are 62.75" x 79.75". They are exceedingly rare since the overlap of the Dakota and WilderNest was very short. There might be a few dozen of them out there. I think we've estimated on the order of a couple thousand total WilderNests and probably half of them are for short box Japanese and domestic mini trucks, e.g. model 76. The next most common is probably the regular length full size, models 99F (F-series), 99C C/K longwide) an 80C (C/K shortwide).

WilderNest went out of business long before a Tacoma and Tundra were made and even just before the T100 was made. So their documentation does not list model for them specifically.

and i think i decided to let it go to a home that will appreciate it for what it is, vs me who just uses it as a topper http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/6215107362.html

My retired mechanic friend and I built this trailer using a service bed on a 1/2 ton pickup chassis and the Wildernest camper top. The service bed is lifted 4 inches, the front box contains 2 deep cycle batteries, on-demand water pump and 1500 watt inverter. The interior is carpeted with custom cabinet, sink and hot and cold water. It is listed in the classified section if you want to see more pictures and a list of features and components.

Recently found the Owners Manual for the Wildernest camper top on line. Using a long strap to open or close the top makes it much easier.

Having the Wildernest camper top on a self contained trailer is really nice because the trailer can be left at base camp while you go off roading or exploring for the day, then come back to a hot shower and remotely adjustable air bed.
