Aluminum drawer/sleeping platorm

The gear drawer is done, in front is my primus fire pit, martin cook stove. I usually put my duffel bag right after that. At the back is a golf gear bag that i use to organise my stuff, like plano organiser, fire starter kit, first aid, flash lights fishing rod. Right next to the golf bag is my tool roll, axe and mini saw. Pretty happy with the amount of gear i can put in there.

And of course the bed, i use a memory foam and 2 sleeping bags. Very comfy and plenty of headroom for Blue and I.

super digging the setup, so are you sticking with the cap setup long term then? I thought I'd seen plans for something else

Ya the rack with roof top tent wont happend... I got the shell for cheap and its just better for me. Im building an aluminum roof rack right now to go over the shell and im planning to build my own 270 degree awning soon

how are you liking the shell? I used to hate them until my current truck came with one, now I love them but I prefer aluminium ones- they're so much lighter

That came out really nice! Excellant job!

I also built my platform out of aluminum square tube. It's a very similar layout as yours. I think you're might be lighter than mine though. I have sheet metal on the sides. Rather than welding I used brackets and rivets. I looked up how DIY airplanes are built and used that technique. It takes friggin forever thought. I would imagine the welding is much faster.
