My 2016 Mojave Sand JKUR

Started installing the first of the color matched parts. I did them all in flat Mojave Sand instead of shiny clear coated. I chose the Teraflex rocksliders because it has the wide step. It helps keep obstacles away from the truck and the wife has somewhere to step on when getting in. I'm aware that it accumulates crap on there but it's primarily a daily driver, so I'll clean it off the few times I get to hit the trails.

I added some clear skateboard grip tape to make getting in less lethal on wet days.

I like how it's starting to look. Can't wait to get the other color matched parts. Later down the road I'll also do the hardtop.

Sweet that looks awesome ReconH3. I want to get my hardtop painted once I get a little more done to color match. I was thinking of going as far as having it look like the Africa jeep that Mopar underground did a few years ago and have the white upper part. Ursa Minor also just did a J30 in Mojave sand that they color matched the top to. It also looked awesome. Not sure if you have seen it or not.

That might look quite nice. I'll be doing my roof in flat Mojave Sand. I would love to do the whole truck in flat but don't have the time or money to do it.

Thanks!!!! Just about everything I have done or plan to do is mostly functional. I have been doing this to a very extreme level for a very long time. This has thought me what really works and what doesn't. I do have a few purely aesthetic items on my truck, but I'm definitely aiming for a functional rig.

Time to get rid of the cheap factory plastic bumper and replace it with a nice color matched Warn one. Install wasn't too bad but since it got hot out, it became a bit of a sweat fest.

I like the simplicity and look of the Warn bumper. I also like that it wraps around the corners to protect them. Tomorrow, the front bumper.

Time to tackle the front bumper and skid plate.

What a pain it was. Holes didn't line up. Bracket was missing. Fortunately Warn customer service is on point and sent out the missing bracket. I have the winch mount and winch, but won't install it for now. I'm doing a custom winch install with an industrial contactor instead of the solenoid pack, and will require custom made cables. In the pics the color looks off, but it's because it's a flat version of Mojave Sand instead of glossy. It does match quite well.

When looking at the top of the bumper and sliders, the color matches the top of the hood perfectly. But yeah, it's hard to get a picture to show flat and glossy finishes the same.
Looks great. Kind of an "Industrial Siimple" look. :beer:

Today was fender day! Will be installing River Raiders +2" fenders that have been color matched. It turned out to be quite and ordeal since they didn't fit with the Teraflex rocksliders. Had to do quite a lot of trimming , and then repaint them. It ended up taking close to 10 hours. Since I worked into the night, the finished pics won't be till tomorrow.

Fenders are on! The look I had envisioned is really starting to come together.

Once I get the Huthcinson beadlocks back from paint and they get mounted, the truck will get a much better stance. Plan to get taller spring for the rear too because right now they're nearly bottomed out and the truck is unloaded.

Color matched and installed some light protectors. I also have the ones for the markers but they don't fit on the LED version. Lens is thicker and I will have to fab something to make it work. Tomorrow: install the Crawler Concepts fender liners that I color matched.

Got the marker protectors modified and fitted. Much better now that it has the matching pair. Would be nice if there was a similar version for the fog lights. That bumper looks bare without a winch. Can't wait to install it once and for all.

Painted and installed the Crawler Concepts fender liners. They're very well made but required quite a bit of fitting. Especially because of the Fox shocks and adjustable bump stops. One of the mounting points of the River Raider fenders also got in the way and had to modify the liner.

Installed the Tuffy security deck enclosure #326. It was very simple and fast to install. It's very well made and compatible with the rear seat spacers that lean the bench back. This version is awesome because you can remove the lid if you need extra space. You can also remove the side and rear walls if you need to load the rear with collapsed seats. It's comes prepared for the subwoofer or without it.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have anything to hold the lid open. I'm guessing because of the way that the lid can be removed. I'm going to have to fab a folding rod like the hood. I did have to remove my Power Tank from the right roll bar or the lid wouldn't open. Will have to look for a new home. HiLift also had to go from behind the seat to under the rear seat. May mount it on the lid in the very rear so it doesn't weigh down the lid when opening it.

The lid doesn't have a lock because the tailgate is what holds it shut. To open the lid, you have to slide it back before pulling up, so with the tailgate closed it can't be opened. Very well thought out. I'm planning on adding some rails on the sides of the lid so I can tie down cargo on it of needed.

Any issues with canbus/flickering etc? Do you have the part numbers and place of purchase info? I've been looking at doing the same thing.
