Hi all
Has anyone fitted 37/13.5r17 tyres to their FG649. If so were there any issues with clearing guards etc?
Regards
Steve

I use Falken WildPeak A/T (325/80-16) on my '02 FG. They are just shy of 37" diameter and 13.25" wide. No rubbing. Wheels/tires have to be straight ahead to lift the cab or it will hit them.

Thanks mog
Thought I had good replacement tyre for the 6 tonne truck, but would require r17 10 inch rims to be legal in Australia. Only rims I can find are 9 and 8.5 inch. The typerope of staying legal in Australia is tough. Of course being an older 5 stud wheel also limits choice.
Cheers

Those Falken WildPeak A/T (325/80-16) DO NOT have the load rating to match the load rating of the FG. So down-graded load capacity. But size wise, no issues on my truck

They sound cool, I guess they would be a 124Q tyre, this is too light for a 6t truck, we need 131Q. I found one at 37/13.5r17 that would have been perfect, but they require a 10inch rim DOT approved to carry the weight. The 2 aftermarket rims I know of in 17inch 5 stud available are 8.5 and 9 inch, eg 37/12.5r17 will fit them and will be approved. Sadly Australia is a nightmare when it comes to legality of upgrades.

Hey steve. Just got a new set of goodride on the 19.5's and while I only drove from Yandina to Brisbane I am happy with the ride. Slightly cheaper than the toyos too. See if I can get 100,000ks out of these. IMG_9809.jpg
