Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a Tepui Kukenam Sky 3 with REI's 20% off. I have a Rugged Ridge Sherpa rack on my 2 door JK. RR says its capable of supporting up to 300 pounds. The tent itself weighs about 130 and I'm 6'1 240. About 70 pounds or so over the recommended weight. To me, the rack doesn't feel strong enough to support that. I have considered welding on some supports to make it stronger. I was hoping to get some insight from others that may be running a similar set up. Thanks in advance!
