Haven't seen much in the trailer market for hard side and trail/road worthy... So looking to develop one.

Thats a tall order for an offroad trailer...

Queen in back, 3'x6.5' side beds back to back on both sides of camper.
Concept shown many things missing but this is general idea. I like the Bruder but it's about 25ft... this would be about 17'.

Mine is about 12 feet long good for 2 people maybe 3. 6 in a 17 foot space would be pretty tight especially if you add a toilet, shower and storage.

Yeah it's not huge but I think with an additional slide out storage in the walkway between booth and kitchen (not shown) we'll be good. We're pretty compact campers but am looking for a bit more comfort vs. the tent. Bathroom up front ahead of the kitchen and I'll have pullout kitchen for majority of our camping. With the slide beds it'll have over 200 sqft plus the slide main slide out storage will be about 80 cu ft.

I commend you on your enthusiasm, but a simple question...how do you get in & out of it? With your pop, fold or slide outs that take up all 3 sides completely, and slideout bathroom/kitchen combo in the front, I don't see an entry/exit door. Not sure you're gonna want kitchen & bathroom so close...lol. If it does workout, don't forget to have a drawer to store earplugs & noseplugs...I think you're gonna need 'em. Also, with regard to the queen size bed in the rear...and crawling in or out of it - over the foot of the bed and dining table and benches (which could still have plates, drinks and food on it) is not gonna be easy. I've got a bed like that in my Lance slide-in camper, over the cab and it's a chore, even without crawling over a table. I have to agree with Kevin, "looking to sleep 6 without converting from sleep to eat mode" is an extremely "tall order for an off road trailer" - especially a hard sided one. A expo trailer with a large RTT and attached enclosed rooms would be much more feasible to accomplish what you're trying to do. Good luck, though, in your pursuit of this project. The advantage of a hard side is very desirable in inclimate weather. I'm trying to budget going from a RTT to a hard side off road - like the Lead Dog Extreme Off Road!

Look at the Bruder EXP6. Its small and says it sleeps 6. I believe they use hanging type cots in sleep mode for the other 4 people. Maybe make the main box 5 feet tall and the popup 3feet. Gives you 8 total. I saw you had mentioned you are 6'6", so is the rest of your family tall as well?

Hi 80t,
Thanks for the comments! I really drew a concept level drawing and I see I didn'the draw the waLloyd between bath and kitchen. Bathroom door would be to right of kitchen.

As for camper door, that is also not drawn but will be under the passenger side pop out which will be at about 7 ft. The door top will be about 6ft tall.

Regarding rear queen and climbing on booth bench I'll have to look at that a bit closer. This is also my planned access to side beds.

The indoor kitchen doesn't slide but the outdoor may, not sure. The slide out storage I was referring to is not yet shown but would take up the space in front of the kitchen in trail mode then slide out in camp mode.

When it's done it'll be the first trailer of it's kind that'll comfortably sleep 6 adults... but a ways to go yet!
