Tepui kukenom ruggedized xl

Hi

I just bought a Tepui kukenom ruggedized xl and when I unfold the tent the hinge does not seem to work properly. The hinge does not insert into the unshaped section. There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the rounded piece that is supposed to slide into the u shaped piece. I'm not sure I'm explaining this very well.

Any help is appreciated.

I think I know what you are talking about. I have the same problem on my cvt McKinley. I just have to push on the floor for the side that is opening till it lines up.
