Ill pull the vendor tomorrow and post it up for you. I got them off eBay but you have to watch that some of the vendors sell them cheap and charge 3 times as much for shipping.

I really like your idea of laying out the frame on the floor in tape first. I'm going to have to file that technique away for future projects. I agree that if circumstances allowed it would be ideal to build one, then the other, but as an impatient person I understand your motivation. At the very least, you could have done each step first on your parents, then on yours, so that way you had practice when you do yours and it'll be better. Or maybe the other way around? :):) They look awesome!

Thank you! i would say it was pretty even on working on one then working on the other. We pretty much built on one then played catch up and pushed the second further ahead then went back to catch the other up. Kind of a back and forth deal. Mostly due to the limited shop space we would roll one to the middle and work for a while then the other one. Most of the interior electrical was done on mine first because my parents had left for a while so I could make final decisions on mine haha.

So last I posted we had done a test run of the red trailer (call sign Miramar [yes from Top gun]). We caught the tan trailer up (no call sign) and took it out for some photos and some central Texas backroads.

After a successful test run we started the packing for our solo trip on the NMBDR. My wife, year old daughter and myself over 5 days testing out a trailer that had only been hauled on pavement about 100 miles or less... What could go wrong!? Especially during monsoon season in the southern mountains.

Yes it does have a 4 inch memory foam mattress in it before we left, just didn't catch a photo of it at that point.

Here is a couple pictures from our trip on the NMBDR. Trailer handled it like a champ, bounced around for hours, everything other than some Dr. Pepper survived. We went off grid and the power held up perfectly. The goal is still to integrate solar, full exo cage, roof rack, fuel can storage, ARB awning and zip in room. We have since taken both of them up to PK lake and out to Caprock canyons as well. Ill post some more pictures of the build tomorrow.

Some recent pictures of the first run of the tan trailer. We took it from Central Texas to big lake Arizona.

Been a while since I update our thread. Decided to turn the wheels black with some plasti-dip until I could find a set of matching take offs to go with the jeep. After our trip this past summer we decided it was needed to swap out our teraflex rear springs for a set of old man emu 300s. They are a constant load and help get rid of some of the sag. helps me keep about 2 inches of sag off when fully loaded. Ended up getting to take a trip up to Caprock State park with both the trailers. Dealing with the pop up awnings and christmas coming up we decided to throw an ARB 2500 on the side of the rig. With no way to mount it we fabricated up a roof rack/exoskeleton that would not have contact and would be "no drill". Rack was built off the trailer and then put on with welded tabs. It is built out of 1 inch EMT conduit with and integrated roof rack. The front slant has the bars for solar to be attached. A couple more photos of the awning out. Love this thing, takes about 3 minutes to set up and holds well in the wind. We will be getting the deluxe room sometime this week to give us a place to change and store some gear

Went with the Renogy complete kit from amazon. 100w panel and controller. In the back both trailers have a 100ah AGM sealed battery. Should we end up needing another battery or more power the rack up top could support 2 more square panels as well. Seems to work well and keeps the batteries in float mode.

That rack is awesome! Or I suppose I should say "those racks." The awnings really make a difference too.

Thanks! they turned out well, ended up integrating water and fuel holders on the front, I will need to get some pictures of it this evening. The awning makes set up a breeze! It was well worth the money.

Working up some lightweight storage solutions for the rear. Inexpensive, light, easily replaced should they break over time.

Last minute decision had to be made back in March. We were fixing to take a trip from Central Texas to Arizona for a week to visit some family. The rack with the awning (panel hadn't been added) had a little bit of front to back wiggle. Night before we left we decided to fab up some water storage on the front to help tighten up any movement. Turned out pretty good for only an hour or so of work.
