Greasing ball joints, zerk but no pressure release nipple.

My front top ball joints have grease zerks on them, but they do not have a pressure release nipple.......they are after market (Moogs I think). I think I may have over filled one. See photo. Opinions needed........

Couldn't you unscrew the grease fitting and if there is slot of pressure it should come out.
