Replace FWC Headliner?

It's project time...

Can anyone share your experience/advice on replacing the headliner? I have a Grandby from one of those years with bad material, and it's starting to tear.

I have no idea how to do this. Can you just remove the old headliner and put new material up? Do you attach the new material by nailing new wood strips over the existing ones? Do you need to remove anything to do it?

I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

On my older FWC the headliner tucks up under the metal roof skin. I had my roof off and the canvas removed when I did mine. I think it would be a real SOB to try and replace the headliner without removing the roof. Maybe the newer one piece roof campers have the headliner installed differently.
