Need little advice on 99 sport limited

Looking at the sport has around 200k miles and has the rear Locker.. the guy says it takes about 10miles before the sport wants to finally shift through the years.. tranny shot or could the be a tranny sensor.. asking around a grand for it

A filter and fluid changes will likely do wonders. Buy it.

This. ^^^^ I'll bet that a transmission flush with Mitsu or Hyundai SP3 fluid will get it shifting properly again. There is no filter in the transmission, just a mesh screen - not something that needs to be replaced, but can be removed and cleaned with solvent if you feel the need to. Personally I wouldn't bother with it unless the transmission pan is leaking and needs to be taken off anyway.
