ARB cooler contest

I had entered the contest to win that ARB cooler, my inbox is now flooded with online international dating emails. Just a heads up to anyone entering this contest. I hadn't given my email out to any other online form except this contest, I typically don't enter contests online but feel ARB would be unlikely to sell someones information. It could be simply coincidence I guess but heads up, 30+ emails a day is annoying.:Wow1:

it was on this sight on home page. Who knows though, to cancel these emails one must go to dating sight, no thanks its like confirming your email to them:Wow1:

Tip to those using GMail: your single address can be turned into an unlimited number of addresses by adding a + sign and some other text after the main part of the email.

For example, if your email is joe@gmail.com, and you wanted to enter an ARB contest that you found on ExPo, you could register for the contest as joe+arb-expo@gmail.com. All emails sent to that address will arrive in your inbox as email normally does. Then, should you ever receive spam that's addressed to the email joe+arb-expo@gmail.com, you know exactly who leaked your information.

thats actually a good idea, would be nice to know for sure the source of this:ylsmoke: I have had a company and my belief was that the best way to protect peoples information is not to collect it, anything beyond that is simply putting peoples private information second.

That is great information, I never knew that.
Will have to try it sometime, but I rarely use my Gmail, I mainly use my Comcast one.
