Default Favorite Places to go After Overland Expo West

Every year after Overland Expo West EarthCruiser owners get together to take a trip. We have explored Utah and Arizona that last few year, but looking for new suggestions for next year. Where would you go?

Here are a few pictures from the trip this year through Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, Utah!

Next year, the Wife and I are planning on doing most of the Grand Canyon Back Country Adventure Route that dave6253 over at ADVrider.com put together. Hit the Expo on Friday morning, leave in the afternoon and start the trip.

We saw you guys coming back near Swan Valley in Idaho (presumably you were coming down from the Jackson, WY area)

Lots of good areas to explore in the Pahsimeroi Valley and up through Salmon/Challis and the various forks of the Salmon River. Lots of rugged two track to explore.

Our mog group did the north rim of the canyon after expo west one year, from Lake Powel to Lake Meade and that was fun. One day camping in snow, the next in shorts in the desert. We also followed the Great Divide to Canada, but that wasn't as much fun. Too much time required on major roads.
