Southwest '17 F150 build. Going faster than your average rig.

I've had this truck since Feb, guess it's time to start a build thread.

Back story: I had a 2015 Cummins powered ram 2500, I abused it and learned to push it past its abilities. In February after a trip down to Baja, the truck returned home with a bent frame, tweaked bed, and a missing 6th gear.

Enter his replacement, I've learned a lot from my dodge. I learned the capabilities of "big shocks" and the limits of what production vehicles can handle, I wanted to go faster and keep up with my buddy's running king 4.0's.

The rig:

2017 F150
3.5 ecoboost 10 speed
Crew cab, short bed.

Purpose: camping/exploring the southwest. Daily driving as well. I hunt, fish, and like to take weekend trips into the sierras.

It all started when I put together this customer's 17 raptor back in January which planted the seed in my head.

I work for a very large shop, owned a ford dealership. The day I came back from Mexico I walked across the street, picked out a truck, and drove home with this:

Over the next couple of weeks, bad thoughts would cruise through my head.

So I took the plunge and ordered up a large sum of parts. King shocks, fiberglass, wheels, and 37s, oh my!

Sank my front end into the dirt and feared for my intercooler, so I hit up my buddy at Rogue Racing in vegas and had this a week later.

Where am I now?

While I'm happy with my front end, it could use more travel. The rear has big shocks, but stock geometry.

So I ordered a rogue "stage 16" rear kit.

Allows for ~20" of travel in the rear, spring under with king 3.5"x18" 6 tube bypass shocks.

I also have the itch to camp in the mean time, so I'm currently looking for solutions to mount my rtt and fridge, while still retaining two 37" spares and keeping it light.

Following. How do you like the R/T's?

Theyre cool, I'd still rather have M/T's though. These tires dont have as much traction as i'd like.

They seem as if theyre not wearing at all, and theyre pretty quiet on the road. I'm hard on tires, and I havnt cut a sidewall yet, so thats good.
