6 Meter Traffic?

Is there any 6 meter traffic going on in your area? The old Icom 706 still wants to talk 6 meters!

In my area? Not usually however when propagation cooperates there is still a lot of activity on 6m.

6 M traffic in my area is about like this thread.......dead, LOL, I've been off the air several years now and I'm getting back on, going mobile. Need to figure out where I'm going to plant a 6M beam. That telescopic flag pole at Harbor Freight looks interesting for a trailer mount.

I put on 6m from time to time, never really hear anything. Pretty rare when the band opens and I am able to get to the radio. I also have an IC 706. Best radio I have had in a long time. Just don't like the fact that there is no DTMF mic.
