image.jpegimage.jpegThis is a turnkey ready overland build, ready for camping all you need to go is clothes, sleeping bag and food added.
We did the build on this H3 a year ago this April. This has not been a daily driver and has only been used for our eastern Oregon, Washington (did the southern half of the WABDR) and northern Nevada overlanding trips.
It is set up for flat towing behind an RV and we pulled it down to Arizona last winter and did several desert day trips. We had planned on doing the Mojave trail but the route got pretty hammered by all the rain last winter and so didn't go. If you have a motorhome this makes a great towd and becomes a mini RV for off road camp trips.
We have put a lot of thought and money into setting this vehicle up for self sufficient off road travel and camping.
It has the 3.7 liter inline 5 with automatic transmission. We retained the stock alloy 16" wheels (not chrome!) for airing down, with new Cooper Discovery AT 33" tires.
Here's a list of what it has:
-ARB bumper with ARB aux lights
-HighLift jack with jack cover mounted to Bull Bar using HighLift mounts.
-Blue Ox towing brackets mounted to where the OEM tow shackles are located. We have two shackles that can attach to the rings on the Blue Ox mounts for recovery
-Warn 8000k winch
-metaltech rear receiver shackle mount with shackle
-9" high intensity LED dual spots on bumper
-it has a 30 watt Zamp solar panel mounted to the hood where the original plastic fake vent was and was replaced by diamond plate cut to the same pattern to mount the panel. This has a solar controller that leads to the new (last year) AGM battery under the hood. We did this to keep this battery topped of while parked and away from the vehicle while hiking or whatever while the frig is running.
-we also have a 60 watt folding Overland Solar kit that we use when we are camped. This plugs into an Anderson connector attached to the AGM underhood battery.
-Goal Zero Yeti 400 as second battery. We use this to power the frig at night.
-Whytner 45 qt. refrigerator/freezer with insulated cover
-300 watt inverter mounted in back
-custom built all metal rear fold down tailgate table with molle mount holes with small shovel and ax mounted with Quick Fists
-chuck wagon kit that turns into a table for cooking that has four padded zippered compartments for plates, glasses, cleanup stuff, pots and pans, etc
-two burner propane stove with hose long enough to reach the 5lb propane bottle mounted to the rear rack.
-2 Frontrunner Wolfpacks
-2-Frontrunner folding chairs
-step stool for accessing the roof top tent
-CVT Mt Shasta roof top tent with Annex and Skylights in perfect like new condition
-Mr Heater portable propane heater with custom made bracket to mount the heater inside the tent. Attaches to the tent structure using Quick Fists and propane hose runs into tent from the propane bottle on the rear rack
-Scangauge on dash
-OEM Pioneer Bluetooth sound system with GPS
-two 12v dash outlets with one dual USB adapter
-all interior lights switched to LED to conserve power

129,000 miles. I've been told the 3.7 engine is extremely reliable and have talked to several H3 owners that have over 200,000 trouble free miles
Runs perfect and the paint and body is dent and scratch free.
We bought this with no mods and did them all ourselves after searching for a Jeep JK but after test driving the H3 found it to be far more comfortable and refined a ride. It really is much less fatiguing when doing long off road miles being in a vehicle that doesn't throw you around. These are very capable off road and a bit roomier than than a JK.
