ARB fridge Slide in Truck

Not sure if I should post this question here or tacoma section, but I have a 50qt ARB which is great, also just had an AT Habitat installed on my Tacoma (which is better than great) and took it up to Oregon for a week with wife and dog. I kept getting asked to pull the ARB onto the tailgate so it was easier to access - it slides pretty easy on its own, but I guess weighed down, it wasn't so easy on my wife. So I was thinking of getting the ARB slide, but is it really worth it. I can see the benefits for an SUV, but does anyone have opinions on whether it is worth it for a truck?

thanks

I have an ARB fridge slide in my BJ74 and yes it works great.
When I got my HDJ81 the storage unit had been built too small in the fridge section to accommodate an ARB slide, so I made one with 2 heavy duty 400 lb locking Accuride slides and a piece of plywood. So far working great, and about 1/4 the price of an ARB. Could be an option for you.

Are those the Accuride 9308 slides? What length did you choose and how well do they work in the laid down position like you have them?
