Yikes. I've noticed that over the years. Just didn't know how bad it really was til I read this and looked on autotrader.

The market on fjc's is even worse. 2014s with low mileage sell at or above sticker from three years ago.

I thought about buying a Tacoma a few years ago but went for a Tundra last year. For either truck, I would have considered a clean CPO truck to save money over a new one. But I already kind of new the resale on these so I emailed my local dealer and got an out the door price over 10% below msrp.

Fast forward 9 months, my 12k mile Tundra got rear ended and totaled due to frame damage. The insurance company gave me a check for $2k more than what I paid. Thanks to the used market

Before i bought my fjc i was in the market for one and i basicly decided that if i got one i was going to get new...better financing and i get to pick the options and color.

With the lower rates on new it would have almost been cheaper because of saving on interest
