Ideas for a drawer system

Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a carpenter. :)

I'd like to put a drawer system on top of my BedSlide. My question is, can I make one big drawer that is 48 wide by 62 long or will I need to make 2 separate drawers with a partition in the middle to help support weight? I plan to use 3/4 inch birch plywood. Reason I ask is because all the drawer slides I have found long enough are $$$$$! I prefer to only have to buy one pair instead of 2. Unless someone out there has found a set of 60 inch HD drawer slide for cheap....
Here is what Im working with.

Could use rollers on the underside, that's what I did (followed truck vaults example)

If you wade through the massive Post your Drawer thread you will see many other options presented.

And...wouldn't it make more sense to put the slide on TOP of the drawer system?

Two drawers also halves the weight you have to pull open. And my drawers are working just fine without expensive sliders.

In my work truck I have a drawer that is about 8x16x48. It slides on the bed mat using aluminum channel with no issues
