Hi all,

Is there a tool that can help change the lifters without taking the cam apart? I'm guessing something to mash down the valve spring? If so, it is vehicle specific or will there be a loaner at the O'AdvancedNapaZone? Or should I make one from spare PVC and hope?

Follow up dumb question but for piece of mind: Which direction does springy part of the lifter go? Against the spring or into the cam?

89 Raider, v6

Thanks!

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
There is a really cool tool for the job, you have to remove the cams no matter what but you can do the job on the truck with the heads on. Maybe I can get a write up going over on the Adventure driven forum, I'm sure someone's doing them soon. The little end to the valve.

Thanks! I saw something, maybe that, similar but it wasn't clear that it would work. I assumed since it was for rollers, it wouldn't be useful. The video helps.

Thanks to both of you!
