I got sidetracked being in the path of totality for the eclipse yesterday. So end of last week I pulled the old wiring and ran new since I had everything I needed already and figured may as well start with new again since I was messing with it. The new wiring works as it is supposed to. I did switch the circuit over to one of the two blank spots on the fuse block in the process. The old wiring looked fine and the terminal connections were good and tight but I was out of time by then to finish chasing the problem. Now that things are calming down after house guests all weekend for the eclipse I need to go back and check the old position on the fuse block for corrosion and the old wiring for continuity to figure out just where the old circuit went bad. We are in the rust belt and our roads get salted pretty heavily during snow events so even though the Blue Sea has a cover and it is mounted as high up under the hood as possible I can't rule out corrosion.
