Truck is sold.

I am reluctantly selling my Chevrolet Colorado expedition/overland vehicle because I'm moving overseas and can't take it with me. No expense was spared to create a fully functional and efficient camping vehicle complete with the best roof top tent on the market, an awesome wrap around awning, CNC fabricated custom designed slide out fridge/stove kitchen unit, side accessible kitchen galley, on board water, shower, and much more. It's based on a 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 2.8L Duramax Diesel 4x4 Crew Cab. It's fully loaded from Chevy with the Z71 off road package; automatic locking rear differential, off road suspension, hill descent control, Goodyear Kevlar all terrain adventure tires, transfer case shield, etc. and has reinforced rear suspension to compensate for the additional equipment. It also has a backup camera, heated leather seats, upgraded JBL audio, Apple CarPlay, and a RAM mount for your phone. The truck is as quiet, smooth, and comfortable as my BMW X1 was, it's really great.

The vehicle has only been finished for a few months so it's basically like new. It currently has 9800 miles but is slowly climbing. It is probably the most fuel efficient fully featured overland truck in the country at 23mpg highway. A Tacoma similarly equipped will get 11-12mpg on a good day. Between the tent, the awing, and the kitchen unit you can have a fully setup camp in well under 5 minutes.

Includes:
Alu-Cab Gen 3 aluminum roof top tent with interior storage pockets, LED lighting and USB ports, the best on the market

Alu-Cab Shadow Awn 270 degree self supporting awning, sets up in 30 seconds with no support legs necessary and provides shade on side and back of truck. Awesome.

A.R.E. DCU American made commercial full aluminum shell with custom 5-bar diamond plate doors to match tent

Custom CNC machined hardwood kitchen slide system for fridge, stove, and cutting board/prep surface, I designed this myself after being unable to find anything commercially available that makes the most efficient use of space and provides extra prep surface. It's made from the highest grade birch plywood, all CNC robot cut with blind dados for extra strength and 500lb Accuride lock in/lock out slides. Much better than the systems with awkward stove controls on the end and no cutting board. No expense spared.

Custom CNC machined hardwood 36" drawer storage system with adjustable dividers and 500lb lock in/lock out slides

ARB 50qt 12v Fridge, very efficient and ice cold

Partner Steel Cook Partner 22" 2 burner stove, American made, best quality

Custom side accessible kitchen galley, fully stocked with pots/pans, plates, bowls, silverware, mugs, insulated mugs, wine glasses, tea kettle, J.A. Henckels cutlery, cheese grater, serving utensils, spices, etc.

10.6 gallon onboard water plumbed to kitchen area with two additional 5 gallon containers when needed

Carbon water filtration system

Electric shower unit with separate privacy tent- can be used for cassette toilet as well

Reinforced rear suspension to compensate for additional weight

125w solar panel- American made, military spec, folding panel with best quality MPPT controller and 25' extension cable- park in the shade and put panel in the sun

Custom electrical connection box with Pelican and Blue Sea Systems components- 2x USB output, 12v output, solar and fridge inputs all in one handy little box

BedRug molded upholstered bed liner

Odyssey Extreme deep cycle battery

Front Runner Outfitters roof rack with custom fabricated wind deflector for max MPG with roof tent

4 Aluminum sand ladders mounted to roof rack

Flame King refillable propane system with 4- 1lb canisters, 20lb tank (stays at home), and refill system, very efficient and eco friendly

2 folding camp chairs

Folding aluminum table

Dish bin and drying rack

Firewood/storage bin with ROK strap mount on top of drawer unit

RAM X-Grip universal smartphone mount

Will include full bedding set if you like- mattress topper, sheets, pillows, and down blanket.

Hundreds of hours have gone into perfecting this adventure mobile. It is truly a complete package ready to take you to Baja, Joshua Tree, or South America and back.

$48,000 OBO, ready to make a deal.

Located in sunny Santa Monica CA. LAX is about 30 minutes away if you want to do a fly and drive. After this week it may be located in Durango Colorado, not sure yet.

Hell of a build! A small lift with some bigger meats and a bumper/winch and that would be a great overall package. It's a shame that you can't take it with you, a damn shame. GLWS OP!!!

Amazing setup. Someone will be getting a great truck.

Do you have anymore pics of that little pelican case setup? I have a bunch of cases that size that I'm not using and a power box like that would be great for my Jeep.

Sure, it's a handy little unit. It's got an SAE quick connect to the main power so the whole box is removable if you need to load a bunch of cargo. Two SAE pigtails connect to the fridge and solar panel and it has a voltmeter to let you know how the main battery is doing. The voltmeter is exactly the same size as the Pelican pressure valve so fits really nicely in that spot. The Blue Sea USB/12v combo fits perfectly on the side. All components are marine grade.

Awesome. Thanks for the pics. Nice little setup. Really like how you replaced the pressure valve with the voltmeter.

Do you have the cold weather insulation package for the Gen 3 tent? If so how effective is it?

Any difficulty with rain water running down the sides of the tent collecting in the aluminum pan? I have watched video reviews and there is mention of a lip to prevent water collecting in the pan. Have you tested this?

Does your truck come with the new safety electronic features forward collision alert and lane departure warning?

Very nice build out!
