rayra: that's not what I said. I always have a basic toolkit with me and my basic kit is pretty comprehensive; I simply don't want to carry all my off road gear in the back all the time. It weighs a lot and is also worth a lot; my truck spends days a week in airport parking lots. My approach is to bring the right amount for gear with me when I'm most likely to need it. I include jumper cables and other basic stuff under "recovery".
