Clever way to get a PL-259 connector through the roof?

I'm actually a Comms tech and the installer at my shop. I've helped more than enough guys who do their own installs. what I recommend is a standard NMO coax cable with an FME connector and you get the FME to UHF adapter. The FME is not much bigger in diameter than the coax and you don't have to do any crimping or soldering. You pipe a hole through from the outside. Or you could feed along your roof rack to the A pillar, down the weather gasket to the fender and into the cab from the front. So you don't end up crushing or wearing the cable due to the door opening and closing. This is the cable and adapter
