How much room between cabover and truck roof?

Question for everyone,

I'm putting my FWC Eagle I've had on a Tacoma onto a newly acquired Crewmax Tundra. When I built my riser platform 4" between the two seemed enough. Now that it's on and I'm looking at it looks smaller then I usually see. I think I'm still good, anyone have other thoughts? 4" enough?

I had a Northstar on an 02 F350 and had about 1-1/2" - 2" . Never touched the cab , even off-roading.

Just depends on flex or how much rock movement the camper might have. You kinda want the smallest gap you can get away with.

Yeah, about 3" on my Northstar with a 2" riser. The hydroformed frame is really stout on mine and doesn't yield much torsional twisting.
I don't know how the Tundra's do.

Sounds like I'm good then. Camping this weekend yielded no problems. Of course it was all pavement and decent gravel roads, but playing around with it left me confident. Thanks everyone.
